Man shot to death in Roxbury

Boston Police report finding a man found shot to death in front of 93 Burrell St. around 11:15 p.m.

The victim was 25.

More to Roxbury than just shootings

I'm a big fan of Universal Hub but am often frustrated b/c it seems like a majority of the Roxbury posts are about shootings/crimes/violence. I understand (don't agree but that's fine) that news outlets view these as newsworthy, but there is a lot more going on in Roxbury (& Dorchester). Things like the redevelopment or Melnea Cass, Dudley Square visioning process, arts & cultural events/activities by Haley House, Discover Roxbury, and Hibernian Hall just to name a few. I hope you consider covering (or let me know how we can share these with you) some of the positive things happening in the n'hood.

Not just Roxbury

Somebody scanning Universal Hub might get the impression we're one big Gotham City seething with violent thugs and out-of-control crime, when in fact we're one of the safer big cities.

The problem is one of the things I wanted to do with the site is answer the question "why the hell are there six cruisers on my street?" I guess I've gotten too good at that, and maybe need to spend more time on, as you note, all the better stuff going on around here.
