Brighton man shot above eye with BB in home invasion

Boston Police report a resident of 1982 Commonwealth Ave. got shot in the face with a BB gun in his kitchen by somebody he probably knew.

Police say the attack took place shortly before 10 p.m. yesterday.

The victim reported to officers, he heard a knock at his apartment door and was confronted by the suspects. The victim described suspect #1 as a white male, in his twenties, wearing a white and black bandana around his face and wearing a black hooded jacket. The second suspect was described as a white male, 6 feet tall and slim build.

The victim stated to officers, suspect #1 started to assault him in the facial area. The victim reported to officers he attempted to flee from the suspect and the suspect followed him to his kitchen. The victim stated that a struggle ensued and suspect #1 produced a black colored BB gun.

EMTs treated the victim at the scene; he declined transport to a hospital.

Police felt it important to note that officers got a strong whiff of marijuana in the victim's apartment.
