Man shot near South Bay mall

Boston Police report a man was stopped at a stop sign at Southampton Street and Allstate Road around 6:15 p.m. when another car drove up and an occupant began shooting. He drove himself to the South Bay Target store to seek help.

Police shut the store and summoned an ambulance to take the victim to nearby Boston Medical Center, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
