Police: Neighbors grab two of four people who tried to run away after their car smashed into house

Boston Police report that when officers arrived at 620 W. Park St. on report of a car into a house last night, they found "a large crowd" keeping two men from leaving the scene.

Police report the two were among four people in the car, which smashed into the house - sending three men sitting on the porch to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries - after speeding down Standish Street around 9 p.m.

After the car crashed into the porch, witnesses say, four occupants exited the car and attempted to flee the scene. Two of the four occupants (the operator and a passenger) were physically restrained by several witnesses who observed the accident and sought to hold those responsible until police arrived.

Police say the investigation and hunt for the other two men continues.
