Boston Police report a 17-year-old walking on Camden Street around 6:45 p.m. on Monday was grabbed around the neck on Monday by a guy who first chatted her up. Police say she screamed and, after wrestling with her attacker, managed to escape.
Her attacker was described as Hispanic (possibly Dominican), in his late teens, 5'7" and stocky, with a medium complexion, flat nose and a baby face.
Around 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, police say, another teen was walking in the area of Camden Street and Shawmut Avenue when "a man approached her from behind and stated that he had a gun."
Police say he tried to drag her to a secluded area, but that she fought back The suspect attempted to drag the victim to a secluded area, but the victim managed to fight him off and he ran off.
This suspect was described as black, non-Hispanic, about 25, and 5'6" with a medium build. Police say he spoke with a Haitian accent and wore a brown top and light blue jeans.
Police say the attacks might be related and say that in both cases, the suspects commented on their victims' physical appearance before or during the attacks.
