Boston Police report a man walking down Joy Street shortly after midnight was jumped from behind by a guy wielding what appeared to be a taser:
The victim told officers, he was walking in the area of Joy Street and he heard footsteps behind him. As the victim turned to acknowledge the person, he was grabbed from behind and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the male suspect began swinging an unknown object with a blue light on the end of it, which the victim believed was a taser. The victim was able to break free and the suspect ran in the opposite direction.
Not long after, police say, officers spotted a guy matching the victim's description and, after a brief foot chase, arrested Yohan Almonte, 24, on a charge of armed robbery.
