You have incredible carnage just a few hours ago and a few miles away... and the perp(s) can't put aside whatever beef they might have?

I sort of had mixed feelings about returning to work today. On one hand I feel like I'm in a kind of alternative reality and none of this actually happened and maybe I need some time to just think about it and on the other hand maybe if I just get back to work I can put it out of my mind for a while.

The thing that's sad to say is that maybe these guys view this as their job and just wanted to get on with it?

Too bad for the families, they'll never get the FBI, ATF, Patrick and Obama.
Just a regular Tuesday for them. Hopefully the terrorists never learn from the gangsta's.

A Federal expanded criminal background check law and real jail time for gun trafficking would shrink the steady stream of guns sold from out of state sources into the cities of Boston, New York and Chicago. A majority of the guns seized by Boston Police in 2012 were illegal guns.

Today is the 6 year anniversary of the Virginia Tech massacre and Congress has done NOTHING to mitigate gun violence. Nothing.

Probably because every time a new gun law is proposed as the solution to all our problems, it muddies the waters and creates new loopholes and confusion. Take the word gun out of the problem.
If you commit an act on person that results in physical disability, you go to jail for the amount of time that person is disabled. If the person dies, clearly your in for life.
You could also sentence 1 year for every $1000. in hospital bills.
Then it doesn't matter if it's a gun, bomb, knife or other method.
We need encompassing violence laws based on the severity of the impact on the victims and society.
Regulating guns is a waste of time and resources.

Right, pass more laws because all criminals obey them. Ever thought of prosecuting those caught with illegal guns instead? You know, not the usual "we found a loaded gun and a pound of crack on you, you have a mile-long arrest record, but searching thugs is illegal and raaaay-cyst, forget the gun and crack, off you go" BS. How many of those caught with an illegal gun do get locked up? 1 in 50? 1 in 100?

Criminal break laws. So by your logic, why bother having laws!? Only non-criminals will not break them anyways! Why bother them with such burdens!

Seriously, drop the ignorant bullshit.

We've got along with 450 years of common laws for a reason. They give us a framework and an institutional force to deal with prosecuting those we deem criminals. That criminals break these laws is exactly the point of those laws, not in spite of them. Stop making stupid arguments, cause they don't help gun owners.
