Shots fired near Brooke Courthouse
By adamg on Tue, 04/23/2013 - 4:57pm
Police are swarming the area between New Chardon, Haymarket and North Station after people reported gunfire around 4:30 p.m. outside the Brooke Courthouse. Witnesses saw several men being put in cruisers.
Darrell Daniel reports yellow crime-scene tape around entrances to the Government Center garage; Meg Hoffman and Leslie report police and tape from the Brooke courthouse to the Beer Works on Canal Street and Haymarket.

What's going on?
Anyone know? nothing on the other news sites.
Globalist Police Takeover Is What Is Going On.
At least that is what the BPD is participating in according to the always reliable Alex Jones / InfoWars website.
Be prepared for the stars of Boston's Finest to control your movements and activities at any moment.
Just came out
That apparently Black Hat was a infowars fan.
I work on Canal St and heard a gun fire around 4:20
Definitely sounded like a gun. Single shot. Within a minute over a dozen police vehicles descended upon Bulfinch Triangle. As short a response time as you can expect from the BPD. We had a birds eye view as the officers combed the area for the source. The frenzy caused an officer to be knocked down by a responding police cruiser over by the Brooke courthouse, but he seemed OK.
Most of the heat ended up around the Bank of America on Canal and Valenti. My coworker thought he saw a man being taken into custody. Police tape went up around 5, but by 6, there was no more activity. Could have been a firework or backfire, but from my vantage point, there was no mistaking that it was the sound of a gun.
Now if somebody had
leaked a rumor that the North End gunfire was related to the Marathon Bombings, you can bet the story would've been all over the MSM.
Warm Weather
Gonna be fun once the warm weather comes along.
Non-marathon death count since Patriots Day?
What's the non-marathon related Boston shooting and murder count since Patriots Day? While the media was busy with the marathon, other parts of Boston were witnessing the Wild West. UHub reported on some of it, but it's unfortunate that the tradtional media can't multi-task.
I'd consider it to be related
While the cops were occupied with the manhunt, those who had scores to settle got busy.
That's one way to get out of
That's one way to get out of paying child support.
Is it me or do there seem to
Is it me or do there seem to be an unusual number of shootings this week since the bombing? It's like the violence got turned up a couple of notches
While the cops are away the
While the cops are away the gangsters gunplay. =(
Physically makes sense
I don't know if there is empirical evidence that there was an uptick in non-terrorist violence during the last week, but it would make sense. Stress (here caused by terrorism) certainly causes a physical response in the systemic nervous system ("fight or flight") and those prone to "fight" may well react that way. And I imagine even someone who was not paying attention to the news and the rest of the system would still be picking up on the stress levels in the community. I wonder: have similar trends (if this one is even true) happened in cities that have also experienced trauma en-masse?
It's you.. Shooting are
It's you..
Shooting are uncommon in this area of the city. Shots fire are and can be dangerous, but I highly doubt this shot was a random act of violence. Those are pretty uncommon in the city. It's generally gang violence and gang related.
Also, let's be realistic. If shots are being fired in the city, Boston Police are responding. I don't care if their SWAT guys are tied up hunting down some jackasses. They still have patrol officers that are doing what they are tasked to do..
How does any of that respond
How does any of that respond to what I said? If anything the fact that shots are rare in that part of the city indicates that there IS an unusual amount of violence happening in the city this last week
I'm going to have to
I'm going to have to disagree. I think given that a large manhunt going down after a bombing inside of the city caused people to pay more attention to the crime that was occurring in the city. The number of arrests appeared lower than a normal week.
And a shooting in the west end doesn't indicate an unusual amount of violence. The circumstances around the shooting might answer why it occurred over there. You do have a couple of courthouses in the area that often require some undesirables to visit the area.

I work at 110 Canal, the "suspects" tried dumping the gun by throwing it onto the roof of the Bank of America which is next to my office. They got caught, gun was found.
