Chinese-food delivery guys getting held up on Topliff Street in Dorchester

Boston Police report delivery men for two separate Chinese restaurants were held up on the same Dorchester street last week.

Around 1:40 p.m. last Wednesday, a delivery worker for Hong Kong Chef at 47 Topliff St. was held up at knifepoint there by three men who'd been sitting on the front porch of 43 Topliff when he pulled up. The suspects were described as three black men, one armed with a knife.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, police say, a man making a delivery for China Station managed to fend off three teens who tried to hold him up at 50 Topliff St.

The driver stated one of the male suspects was observed grabbing what appeared to be a black firearm from his waistband. One of the other suspects asked the victim for the money he was carrying. All suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction without the food or money.

Two of the suspects were described as black teens, both about 5'9" to 5'11," police say.

The Hong Kong Chef delivery guy is really nice. He's getting a little extra in his tip next time.

I was told by a trooper that Asians are being targeted for robberies all along Dorchester Ave but the authorities want to keep it quiet.
