Boston Police report they are investigating how two men came to be lying on Greenwood Street early this morning, one of them dying in the middle of the street from what appeared to be serious head injuries, the other collapsed on a resident's porch with serious stab wounds.
Police say that shortly after 1 a.m., officers responded to a call about a man lying in the street outside 17 Greenwood St. He was taken with " injuries to his forehead" to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
About a half hour later, police say, officers responded to another call, at 54 Greenwood, for a man lying on the front porch, bleeding:
Officers observed a male victim suffering from a stab wounds. The victim, stated he was out drinking celebrating a friend's birthday and did not know who stabbed him. He was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
