In the week following the Marathon bombings last year there was a surge of gun violence. Is this a similar trend, except this time before the Marathon? What I mean is there's a ridiculous amount of law enforcement in the city right now... but the extra patrols are in the Back Bay and not Mattapan. Either that or we're having an early summer...
West Roxbury doesn't have that many cop paroling, nor do they have many homicides. But if your white guilt is eating at you that much, i guess its good to vent your irrational opinions.
PS most of the cities services go to people from Matt/Dot/Rox.
Yes, but the fact remains - quite a few of those living in rox/dot/'pan receive about $50K worth of govt transfers every year, while all others are working their asses off to make it possible. You remind of those pony-tailed public defenders - "yes your honor, my client did shoot person X, but the cop did not cross all the Ts and dot all the Is on his report, therefore none of the evidence is admissible" - it's all about the technicalities.
There aren't any opportunities to declare people as heroes because no one has done anything that would make him/her a hero. Living a normal life, rich or poor, does not make you a hero. Selling drugs on the corner and shooting people doesn't make you a hero either - quite the contrary, it makes you a terrorist, and the cop that eventually takes you down would be the one who needs to be hailed as a hero. Want to be a hero? Chase the dealers away from your streets. Rush a thug you saw shooting someone, pin him down and wait for the police to arrive. Testify in court against a local gang, get them locked up and make your streets safer. Teach the local kids that studying hard, going to college and getting a good job isn't "acting white," it's the right thing to do. Talk them out of seeing local gangbangers and thug athletes/rappers as role models. Do that, and you too can be a hero.
Thank you for that comment. It was classy and I hope if someone you care about is the victim of violence that same level of class and maturity is shown.
Even more hilarious, coming from the guy who posted this: "There aren't many white people in the Mattapan nor the opportunity to show white injustice or declare some people as heroes"

I think he meant government transfers like section 8, tanf, snap, etc, in which case he's absolutely right.
Except ...
None of those are provided by the city, in which case he's absolutely wrong.
Technicality

Are you going to provide links to actual data?
Or are you just going to continue wanking until you reach stereotype and talking point nirvana?
Right
