The link takes me to Church Street in Dorchester. Is that correct?

Yes. I screwed it up (happened on Church near Glover). Sorry about that.

I applaud his bravery and can appreciate his not wanting to part with his hard earned money but risking your life for a few bucks. This could've ended badly and this guy is lucky that these idiots aren't competent thieves.

enough to have shot him dead for some chump change and a pizza....hey, it happens more than it should.

We had an incident in the Boston area a few years ago which a pizza delivery driver was killed. There was also a pizza driver murder in national news quite recently.

Also, it might have only been a few bucks, but I bet afterwards he felt like a million bucks.

There's a big difference between a mugging attempt that leaves you poorer and feeling violated and afraid, and a mugging attempt that leaves you knowing you beat those guys.

Don't try this at home, kids. But bravo for that guy.

that people who are victims make a very quick calculation as to the risk-benefits of fighting back in that particular situation, and therefore the people who do fight back are disproportionately ones who determined that fighting back would be to their benefit.

So to say, "this could have ended badly if they were competent thieves," is a tad wrong, because a victim faced with competent thieves would calculate that compliance is the safer route and choose not to fight back.
