Man shot in Dorchester; cops find possible weapon, then follow fresh footprints in snow to another

Boston Police report officers responding to a call about a person shot around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday found a man had, in fact, been shot, at Normandy and Intervale streets.

As he was being taken to a local hospital with injuries from which he is expected to recover, officers:

Recovered a firearm that was placed in a snow mound next to a nearby residence. Officers followed a set of fresh footprints and recovered a second firearm buried in the snow behind a building at the end of the block.

The search for the shooter continues.

Isn't this the 6th shooting on that street in about a year?

I would say its most likely true. These streets in this neighborhood are part of a pretty active street gang that's been around for a while. Fueds always exist with them, it's the violence that has its peaks and valleys. Might be nearing a peak.
