Daylight shooting in Roxbury sends one to the hospital

Around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Humboldt Avenue and Hutchings Street. Police learned of the shooting when the victim showed up at a local emergency room.

That area is a stone's throw from White Stadium. Maybe he was practicing for the pentathlon.

At the recent Franklin Park Olympics meeting, Boston 2024 architect David Manfredi ran down the five sports that make up the pentathlon. When he got to the shooting, he tried to put residents' minds at ease by explaining the guns use lasers, not bullets.
