Dorchester man arrested with loaded gun in Roslindale

Boston Police report arresting Marshawn Potts, 21, on gun charges around 6:30 p.m. yesterday at Brookway and Elven roads in Archdale.

While on patrol in the above area, officers observed a group of males gathered around a park bench. As officers approached in their cruiser, a male on a bike signaled to the group that the officers were coming. As he did so, two males became hyper-vigilant and broke away from the group, walking at a rapid pace. One of the males made an attempt to evade the officers while gripping a heavy object in his right front pocket.

Police say the officers caught up with him and found a loaded Glock 27 Gen 4 gun in that pocket.
