Couple of guys fire guns in South Boston; guns recovered, guys still at large

Boston Police report recovering two guns and six shell casings after residents reported gunfire outside 28 Gavin Way around 1:15 this morning.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to several witnesses who reported two males began shooting firearms outside of the above address. One suspect was described as wearing all black, the second a gray hooded sweatshirt. Officers canvassed the area and found several pieces of ballistic evidence, as well as two firearms and a gray hooded sweatshirt inside a trash can outside of 3 Sterling Square. Officers recovered and processed a brown and black Smith and Wesson 38 SPL revolver with spent shell casings and a silver and black Bersa 380 ACP firearm and magazine. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.

I also heard what sounded like gunshots around 1:20 in the morning in the South End. In a 10-minute period, there were two individual shots fired and a group of 3 or 4 shots. I live next to Peters Park and the shots sounded like they were coming from somewhere around Blackstone Square.
