Police clear Downtown Crossing station of groping ninja threat

Failed ninja

Transit Police report arresting a man on charges he groped a woman in the tunnel between the Orange and Red Lines at Downtown Crossing Thursday morning - and after he tried to fight off arriving officers.

Police say Josue Estrada, 30, indecently assaulted a woman around 9:05 a.m. as she was walking from Orange to Red. Arriving officers told Estrada to put his hands out for handcuffing, but "Estrada refused to comply with the officers commands and challenged them to a physical confrontation referring to himself as a 'Ninja'," police say.

Fortunately, however, the officers' training at the police academy proved superior to Estrada's fighting skills and they were able to subdue him and place him under arrest on a charge of indecent assault and battery.

Estrada had bail set at $500 at his arraignment today in Boston Municipal Court, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports, adding he was also ordered to stay out of Downtown Crossing station and away from the victim while his case is pending.

Innocent, etc.

Not everyone can rock the "sharpie face tattoo" aesthetic.

At least, I hope for his sake it's sharpie.

Is that it's probably not.. it's prob a tattoo.

Considering his crime, he's probably not the brightest bulb on the Christmas Tree.

It's not sharpie. I've seen him around Central Sq./Maverick in East Boston over the past few years. They're real.

I guess "ninja" is Spanish for "piece of (expletive.)"

Josue is a common given name in both Portuguese and Spanish. I'm curious why you assume Portuguese is more likely?

"One of these days, he's going to have to grow up and find a job, and when he does, those employers are going to wonder why he is wearing a turtle neck under his business suit. People with tattooed necks do not, as a rule, hold down high paying jobs." - David Sedaris "Barrel Fever"

The best comment I've seen on this so far was something to the tune of "NINJA = No Income, No Job/Assets".
