Police hunt man for two Mission Hill break-ins

Boston Police report they are looking for a man who broke into two Mission Hill apartments Monday morning - one while the occupant was still home.

Police say that around 7 a.m. a resident of 43 Hillside St. reported she discovered a man in her apartment:

According to the victim, when she confronted the suspect, the suspect informed her that her door was unlocked and left the residence.

The woman reported the incident to officers who were investigating a break-in shortly before that at 27 Cherokee St., where he absconded with a laptop and an iPhone.

The individual is described as a black male with a scruffy beard, about 6'0" tall, medium build, wearing a black baseball hat, navy blue shirt, faded blue jeans and white sneakers. The individual was also seen carrying a backpack.
