Man stabbed in South End building

Around 2:15 p.m. in a unit at 143 W. Brookline St., at Tremont. A suspect is in custody.

UPDATE: Because of the severity of the victim's injuries, the homicde unit was called in around 3:50 p.m.

It feels like these headlines are relentless this year. It's awful. Adam's line about the homicide unit being called in accompanies so many posts these days.

The suspect, David Eng, 44, is scheduled for arraignment in Boston Municipal Court.
