Another woman attacked at intersection near Edward Everett Square
Boston Police report a woman walking near Boston and Mayhew streets around 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday was indecently assaulted.
Another woman reported being attacked at the same intersection on Saturday. She is the third woman to be attacked in Dorchester or a nearby section of South Boston in the past couple of months. According to police:
She heard somebody walking behind her. The victim stated that she turned around and observed a male directly behind her and he reached out and grabbed her buttocks. The victim stated that the male then fled on Boston Street towards Columbia Road and turned on to one of the side streets.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, late 20's to early 30's, 5'10" with a medium build. He wore khaki cargo shorts, white tennis shoes, a brown sweater with a full length zipper, and a gray hat with a small brim.

Stay Alert
Stay Alert, look the coward in the eyes. Thank God she is o.k.
She woukd not have heard him if she had headphones in.
blame?
Thank "god" she is ok, but then you obviously must assign blame on the same entity for this incident happening at all, right?
ignore them
they're just trying to stir up shit by giving the victim a pass on being blamed for not wearing headphones, a topic that has been of some considerable debate on this site in the past
I don't know a single woman
I don't know a single woman who would have headphones on if she were walking at 1:15am, especially in this area, which is not all that well populated or lit.
Obviously, she is a tough lady to be there to begin with and was likely walking because she didn't have a choice.
New shelter on Southampton street
The new shelter has become a hotel for sex offenders, BPD officers told us at a community meeting that Andrew square has been taken over by sex offenders and druggies.
well
Isn't that special
*clutches pearls*
How does this correlate to the attack?
nobody said it's a direct result
But it's relevant when discussing the area. Would you be so antagonistic if there was a crime near DTX and someone here mentioned the rampant drug activity and addicts populating the spot?
That has been true for some
That has been true for some time. If you go to the sex offender registry for Boston, you'll see dozens of offenders with an address at one of the shelters on Albany, Harrison or Southhampton.
