Villa Victoria sits in the heart of the South End and has shootings and stupidity with just as much frequency as D Street. I haven't seen a drop off in real estate prices there.

Project Rats with guns are as much part of the urban existence as dog crap on snow banks in the winter. You think they (it) are yucky, but they only bother you because you pay attention to them. If you don't pay attention, you are all the better for it. It isn't your world. It is a human microclimate outside of your reality. Just go about your business and if things get to out of control the cops will beat them down so they clam up for a while. Don't worry about it.

However I wouldn't buy on B or D south of Broadway anyway.

The newbies pay $800k to move from Utopia to The Lower End. They get all upset when somebody, yuppies more often than not, put out a cone after it snows. What are they going to think when the gangbangers fire off a few rounds from their 9mm?
