Argument leads to gunfire outside Forest Hills station; Orange Line service, roads were shut

Updated with information from BPD.

Boston Police report arresting two teens after one of them threatened some other teens with a taser and the other took out a gun and started firing outside the upper busway at Forest Hills station around 7:55 a.m.

Fortunately, the teen proved a bad shot - he hit neither his intended targets nor any of the scores of other people just trying to get to work or school at the time.

Forest Hills station and Washington Street were shut and Orange Line service halted as Boston and Transit Police began looking for the suspects.

Police say Kisean Parker and Kevasia Lowe, both 18, got into an argument with four other teens on a bus pulling into the upper busway at Forest Hills:

The four victims reported that during the altercation the female brandished what appeared to be a taser and threatened them. After exiting the bus, the male suspect took out a firearm and fired several shots in the direction of the four victims.

Daisy Cardenas, who was at Forest Hills at the time, reported hearing four shots. At least one bullet was found inside the station.

Police say that they found a taser and a gun in Lowe's purse during booking.

Parker was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (gun), unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, discharging a firearm within city limits and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, police say. Lowe was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, assault by means of a dangerous weapon (taser) and unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon, police say.

Michelle reported a massive traffic jam from Roslindale Square to Forest Hills.

Innocent, etc.

So, that's why I was late for work.

I noticed a few police cars go by on Hyde Park Ave, then saw a few go by on Washington Street while I was crossing at Ukraine. Forest Hills Station was eerily quiet, and when I got down to the platform it was very crowded. Transit police passed through a couple of times, but the announcements said there were moderate delays caused by a "disabled train".

"police action". The disabled train might have been a different incident.

Probably, since a train did come in from the wrong direction, open its door, let us on, then, after a conversation between T employees, announce it was going out of service.

Really during rush hour, throw a punch you fruitcakes.

Showed on the map. It's the little stub of a street between the narrow end of the station and where the Community Path starts. It's the surface-level street that paralleled the overpass; it connects Washington St northbound into the city with Washington St southbound into Roslindale.

The surface road along where the overpass used to be, from Washington Street to, um, Washington Street.

I've deleted the reference from the post - a suspect was arrested there, but the gunfire was closer to Asticou and South.

I drove right by there 20 minutes earlier on my way to Rozzie. Forest Hills is a hub of activity during rush hours. Anybody could have been hit in the crossfire. Hopefully, no one was hurt. Glad a couple of suspects are in custody.

utter S***heads.

Think of how many people are walking around this area, and how many young kids there are too.

These morons are more likely to hit an innocent bystander then their intended targets.

I'd love to hear about this important beef between the two crews.

How is it worth it?

You know what it is, a bell curve? This lot sits along the left lip of the bell. Nothing to see here, folks, move on now...

No manners. Don't respect anyone. Shooting guns like it's totally acceptable in the middle of innocent crowds of commuters. Have no social skills when it comes to reasoning and channeling their temper tantrums in a more positive way. Dropping out of school. Poor grades. Have no place in a productive future in society. Spinnin' the wheel.

Forest hills shootout in the morning and this afternoon a battle between the kids and cops at Green street station. The cops are placing kids in cuffs and peace has been restored.
