JP man arrested after gunfire in Roxbury

Boston Police report gang-unit officers responding to a report of gunfire on Tremont Street near Whittier Street in Roxbury early this morning arrested a man they say was carrying a loaded gun nearby.

Police say that officers investigating gunfire at 12:05 a.m. found five guys hanging out a couple blocks away outside 40 Raynor Circle and stopped to ask them if they'd heard or seen anything:

One of the males broke away from the group and walked towards a parked motor vehicle. Officers observed the male crouch down next to the car, obscuring his waist area from the officers. Having made numerous arrests for firearm related offenses and being trained by the ATF in characteristics of an armed gunman, the officers believed that the male was intentionally hiding from officers and attempting to discard a weapon. As the officers got closer to the male they heard a clanking noise coming from under the vehicle consistent with a metal object hitting the pavement. Officers were able to gain control of the male, and upon looking under the vehicle, officers observed a firearm with a brown handle. For officer safety, all five males were momentarily detained until the firearm and the area were made safe. Further investigation allowed officers to recover a loaded black Norinco Model 59 firearm from under the vehicle.

Anthony Flores, 20, of Jamaica Plain, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and carrying a loaded firearm, police say. The other four men were not charged.

Innocent, etc.

who was previously identified as "white" that you claimed wouldn't be Hispanic. You are wrong again.

Or do you know more about this man's connection to the JP shooting than the police are publicly saying?

I had just read about the JP shooting and then saw JP in the headline, so got confused with all the different shootings going on. Hispanic gang members living in JP surely couldn't be involved in any JP shootings.

Your sarcasm on Hispanics... I'm just sitting here shaking my head. Wonderful "sorry not sorry" response there, Mark.

"idiotic" is the type of language you have scolded others about before.
