Two charged with armed robbery of Codman Square market

Police report officers investigating the armed robbery of the the Aney Grocery and Convenience Store, 542 Washington St., didn't have to go far to find the two suspects: Witnesses pointed them to the house at 10 Rosedale St., pretty much right across the street from the store.

There, police say, officers found Miguel Sanchez, 27, of Roslindale, and Victor Santiago, 26, of Roxbury, along with "clothing, mask, and gloves consistent with those worn by the suspects in the surveillance video at the scene of the robbery" and a loaded Llama Minimax .45 caliber firearm in a backpack "along with personal papers bearing the name of one of the suspects."

Police say the pair walked into the market around 9:20 p.m., showed the clerk the gun and then cleaned out the cash register.

Both were changed with armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.

Innocent, etc.
