DA: Man throws brick at police cruiser in the South End
Jonathan Andujar, 28, was ordered sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for observation at his arraignment on charges he threw a brick at an occupied Boston Police cruiser this morning, in an incident that sent one officer to the hospital with minor injuries.
Andujar was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a public official and resisting arrest after he was arrested around 9:30 a.m. on Monsignor Reynolds Way and Harrison Avenue, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
In addition to ordering him to Bridgewater, Boston Municipal Court Judge Thomas Horgan set bail at $2,000, the DA's office reports.
