People don't generally shell out millions when there are stray bullets flying through their backyards.

O you ignorant, anonymous troll! Laugh up your sleeve all you want.

It's been 50 years in the making, but the tipping point is well past. The neighborhood is crawling with daddies with strollers, skate boarders, dog walkers, unaccompanied white pre-teens coming back from ball practice; and, the real estate solicitations continue to slew daily through the mail slot ("Mr. Jonas Prang, we want to buy your house!").

And the real estate listings: $1.2MM on Marcella Street and $3.5MM for two row houses and an unbuildable lot on Centre Street. Plus eight other listings between $550K and $815K. Low inventory means a firm market, even if, in the event, that $3.5MM pipe dream will probably go for between $2MM and $2.5MM.

Save urgent questions of average black net worth compared to average white net worth, changing racial and economic demographics, and obscene rental market pressures on current residents for another post.

Your post is counter-factual.

Stray bullets don't change the fact that it's all over but the shouting on Fort Hill, excuuuuse me, Highland Park. East of Washington Street, hold onto your hat.
