Two charged with double shooting on Whittier Street in Roxbury

UPDATE: Bail set at $10,000 for Martinez and $8,000 for Perkins; curfew set as well, DA's office reports.

Boston Police report arresting a local man and a Quincy man on charges they shot two other men at 25 Whittier St. around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday.

Dionte Martinez, 18, and Thomas Perkins, 18, of Quincy, face arraignment on charges of assault with intent to murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say.

The victims were taken to local hospitals with injuries not considered life threatening, police say. WHDH reports they were security guards protecting a set for Denzel Washington's Equalizer sequel, but that they were not specifically targeted.

Police say that Martinez and Perkins discarded their guns as they fled, but that officers recovered them.
