Marty's Boston, where there's no plan to combat street crime.

Just greenlight condos and brush shoulders with CEOs. Everything will be alllllll right.

Ah yes. Thanks a lot Marty. So sick of him shooting and killing these people and getting away with it.

Remember in the late 80s and early 90s when Marty was killing well over a 100 people per year in Boston?! He’s slacking these last few years!

But lest we forget that back in the early 1990s Mayor Walsh was shot after an argument.

I have to dispute that. When was Mahty shot?

Here's the article that appeared in the Globe.

I mean, this has been a known story for years. Heck, I knew about the shooting weeks after it happened, but the telling was about the other kids that were shot.

You should really start reading the newspapers. But since you didn't know this about the mayor of my city, I'm kind of glad that you are not a voter here anymore.

How you manage to take an innocuous question about a guy whose accomplishments have been so blown up by the idiots that support him it's hard to tell fact from fiction and turn it into a slight against my not living in Boston proper anymore.

Good to know it's "your" city. Now I know who else to blame for it being so fucked up.

It’s more interesting that some guy who used to live in Boston yet calls Belmont home pontificates about the mayor of Boston without knowing the mayor’s back story, to the extent of asking for proof of his past.

but I was shot at myself once. At the old Astor Theater. Remember where that was?

And as far as not knowing his backstory, I know that he 's a moronic bagman who is in the pocket of developers and union guys. So who really gives a fuck if he caught a stray once? How many POC get shot on Talbot Ave or Santuit Street and don't use it in their campaign literature?

I’ll eat my hat if Walsh ever used that incident in any campaign literature ever.
Can you produce it?

Full disclosure: I’m a Boston voter who voted for Walsh first term. Would probably have voted for him again but didn’t make it to polls. However I’m not his biggest fan by any stretch. He has his faults.

Every fucking thing that paper writes about that idiot is campaign literature. Like his taking of many, many anonymous people to rehab. You know, personally !

Marty is arguing if "they" knew how to write a book report "they" wouldn't "run around" carrying guns. I think he does't understand gun violence but I'm not mayor, he is. Time to teach our youth how to write a book report, that's Marty's plan.

Next year, he planned to make the school budget more "efficient" by wringing $5m out of bus transportation by having 44 school starts at 7:15 and 7:30. Shouldn't Marty focus on educational outcomes not bus cost efficiency the savings from which, it was argued, would be put back in the classroom, until parents pointed out the new schedule left a big hole in after-school care. So, Marty argued, we'll save money on bus transportation to pay for after school care. I got to say, I think he has his head up his ass,

By "they" there is any 86% chance the mayor is referring to kids who are not white if his presumption is that they attended or dropped out of Boston Schools.

"These last few shootings has been teens involved and uh you know you know they don't even know how to write a book report and they run around carrying guns the City of Boston.

And we need we need people to step up now and help us. We need activists in the community to help us and stop pointing fingers and stop blaming.

Let's go out there and do our job."-Marty Walsh, Mayor of Boston.

I don’t believe it until someone has to provide me proof.

Cause some traffic jams to make the styrofoam hat people happy while he's at it.

If people want to shoot each other, then how is it the Mayor's job to stop it?

I want a Mayor that makes sure the roads are paved, not one focused on changing people's bad behavior.

I want a home where I can sit in the living room and not get shot by a stray bullet, where I can walk own the street and be safe from lethal violence, where kids can walk to school and back safely or play on the playground.

You would make a worse mayor than Marty, at least he cares about property values.

So how does a mayor stop gang members from shooting at each other?

Or specifically, have the department heads responsible for deterring gang violence come up with strategies for reducing gang violence. That means getting the police department, schools, public health, and perhaps the Centers for Youth and Families to figure out how to decrease violence. Working with the U.S. Attorney's Office helped in the 1990s, as gang bangers were instructed how their actions could end with them in federal court, which is a much tougher place to be than state court.

I don't think the solutions are easy. If they were, they would have been rolled out by now. We're not the Boston of the early 2000s when we went over a year without a minor being murdered, but we're a far cry from Chicago or Baltimore.

And your point is what? Showing up after a crime happens makes Marty a better mayor? If he did show up, you'r criticize him for being there after the fact.

He rehabilitated it. He asked me to help him sell the property. The new buyer is due to close next week. Sigh...

...bought Wellington Hill Street last December. I helped him sell it, I think it’s going on record today, for $480,000.

All of you should be ashamed of these comments. Someone's son, grandson, father, brother, cousin etc. was shot and killed and you guys want to go on a rampage about Marty? Not saying I'm his biggest fan but how about some condolences for the family? May you rest in peace, Kurtis. Such a horrible tragedy.
