Dolts captured on video in act of Boloco burglary

Boloco has posted this video of a trio of criminal masterminds breaking into its restaurant on Boylston at Mass. Ave., about 30 minutes after it closed last night. Notice how you get a real nice closeup of one of their faces when he tries and fails to smash the security camera with his sledgehammer.

Boloco is offering a $1,000 reward for their capture.

H/t eeka.

You would think that it would have been easier to bring some cloth to hang over the camera. Even if he had disabled it, the images prior to destruction would likely be saved.

They otherwise seem to be pretty organized - especially the bit with the safe going into the rolling bin at the end.

This is clearly an inside job. Lets see...

1 - They knew where the camera was immediately upon entering.
2 - They seem to know that a simple screwdriver would pry that door in no time.
3 - They go straight for the safe, knowing exactly where the office is.
4 - They know that the recycling bin is there and big enough to contain the safe.

No question about it.

"Hat tip to eeka." She alerted me to the video.

Did they even need a screwdriver? Seems like a butter knife or credit card would have done it. Time for a deadbolt. Oh, and what's with the sound track?

For suspense, of course.

But, in other news, it's not hard to see security cameras. a quick scan of the room, even out of the corner of your eye, can alert you to most of them. especially in that kind of area, where they kind of stick out.

Still, could be an ex-employee.
