The Pleasant View Market at Savin Hill Avenue and Pleasant Street was robbed at gunpoint around 6 p.m. by three masked men with a gun, who made off with some cash and several cartons of Newport cigarettes.

Boston Police report a man was shot at 55 Brookledge Rd. around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
A man charged with armed robbery of a Roxbury market was caught in a courthouse lockup trying to rip up the distinctive lime-green, blue and yellow sneakers that helped ID him and flush them down a toilet, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

One person on Washington Street reported he'd been fired at. Police recovered shell casings at Washington Street and Mystic Street.
Nearby residents reported hearing about 10 shots.
Around 2:40 p.m. outside 69 Nightingale St., near Wales. Police are looking for a black man with short hair and a puffy coat, who drove away.
The Warren Food Mart, 394 Warren St., was held up around 10:10 p.m. by a gun-wielding white man in his 20s, about 5'8" and wearing a black hoodie and a black jackets.
James Humphries, 29, was arraigned today on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon for a morning incident in which a police hostage negotiator was called in, Hutchings Street and Humboldt Avenue were shut down and a SWAT team stood at the ready. Read more.
