Police responding to a report of shots fired at Blue Hill Avenue and Edgewood Street around 9:20 p.m. found spent shells, a home and car hit by gunfire and an abandoned car that ended up at the front door of a townhouse on Edgewood Street.
Not long after, a man showed up at a local emergency room with gunshot injuries to his arm and leg.

Boston Police report arresting a man they say claimed he had a bomb and he'd set it off if a clerk at Wild Duck, 86 Massachusetts Ave. didn't give him all the money in the register shortly before 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. Read more.

A man who had bought several pairs of sneakers from an East Boston man was arraigned today on charges he set up a ruse to carjack the seller - and take the sneakers he'd said he would buy - in a Saratoga Street parking lot last month, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. A man was shot in the leg on Zeigler Street near Dearborn Street shortly before 7:30 p.m.
Three cars were also hit by gunfire. Shell casings were found at Zeigler and Dearborn.

A Quincy man with a record that includes convictions for armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery on a police officer will have to stand trial in federal court on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm for the loaded gun police say they found in his apartment following his arrest on drug charges in Roxbury last year. The Supreme Judicial Court today ordered a new trial for a man whose gun-possession conviction it overturned earlier this year, ruling that while it is true the Supreme Court's latest Second Amendment ruling would have nullified his conviction, he was tried before that ruling was announced, so it goofed in overturning his conviction. Police have found numerous shell casings at and near Fuller Street and Milton Avenue after hearing gunfire there around 10:05 p.m. No victims immediately reported or found, but a shot-up SUV with two flat tires that may have been involved was found abandoned a couple miles away at Adams and Mallett streets.

Boston Police are looking for three young teens, one armed with what looked like a gun, who stole a person's scooter at Cummins Highway and Sycamore Street around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
In addition to being threatened to get off his green Gater scooter, the victim was punched in the arm.
