Boston Police report officers who stopped a man they said was driving erratically in the area of Dudley and Magazine streets wound up arresting him on gun charges Wednesday night.

Victim identified as Moises Ortiz-Santiago, 27, of Dorchester.
Boston Police report a man was shot at Weldon and Quincy streets in Roxbury shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday - a little more than a half mile from a murder earlier in the evening. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A man in his 30s was shot at Blue Hill Avenue and Washington Street in Grove Hall around 7:45 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said.

Somebody began firing a gun shortly after 10:05 p.m. on Shawmut Avenue at Lenox Street. Nobody hit.

A Suffolk Superior Court jury yesterday convicted a New Hampshire man with Dorchester roots on a first-degree murder charge for shooting a man enjoying Father's Day with his family in a Roxbury park in 2021, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

Somebody fired as many as 11 rounds shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday on Kingsdale Street near Wales Street in Dorchester. No injuries, but three cars were hit.

Stanley Staco reports two men were shot on Walnut Avenue near Dale Street shortly before 10:15 p.m.
A car was also hit; bullets also hit at least two nearby apartments.

Three people stabbed outside the Southampton Street shelter were arraigned last week on charges they were the ones doing all the attacking, with knives, gun butts and a milk crate - according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, which reports police are still looking for a separate guy who walked into the shelter with a machete, as well as the owners of one of the two loaded guns police found. A man walked into the 7-Eleven at South Huntington Avenue and Centre Street in Jamaica Plain around 11:45 p.m. on Friday, gave a worker behind the counter a demand note for cash and then showed the worker the gun he had in his waistband.

A federal judge this week sentenced Jarmori Brown, 21, to 18 months in federal prison for his role in a ring that purchased guns in Alabama, then rode with them on buses up to Boston, where they sold the weapons on the black market. Read more.
