Around 3 p.m. in McLaughlin Playground. Police are looking for two men, both black, both in their 20s, both 5'7" or 5'8" and skinny. One wore a red bandana, one had hair dyed blonde. They took the victim's green backpack. They ran down Bucknam Street towards Heath.

Around 1 a.m. on Annunciation Road. She was alert and conscious when police found her in a playground. WCVB reports she is expected to recover.
A man shot twice outside 5 Cleaves Ct., off Columbus between Washington and Seaver around 10:55 p.m. was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A bullet fired into an apartment air conditioner a few blocks away on Abbotsford Street might be related.
Possibly as many as eight shots fired around 5:20 p.m. outside 623 Mass. Ave.

A Boston officer and a state trooper came under fire this afternoon during an investigation on Newburg Street, off Belgrade Avenue. They returned fire. One suspect was quickly arrested, the other fled.

A man was fatally shot four times in the upper body shortly around 1 a.m. at 267 Centre St. in the Mildred Hailey Apartments, formerly Bromley-Heath, Kevin Wiles, Jr. and 617 Images report. Boston Police report the victim was in his early 40s.
Around 2:10 a.m. at Clarendon Street, the Globe reports. This was about the same time as seven people were being stabbed a few blocks away in the Theater District.
Around 8:15 p.m. near Homes Avenue. Nobody hit, but bullets may have gone through a couple of windows of houses along the road.
Around 9:20 p.m. on Cedar Street near Sanford. Because of the severity of the person's injuries, the homicide unit was called in.
Shot around 8:10 p.m. at 55 Downer Ave., Mass Incident Paging reports. Boston Police report the victim was in his early 20s.

The Supreme Judicial Court today overturned a man's conviction for illegal gun possession in Roxbury because while police found him with a gun, they should never have stopped him in the first place - and that the fact that he tried to elude officers cannot be used against him because black men in Boston might have legitimate reasons to be wary of police.
