Woman attacked in the North End; pattern similar to past assaults

Boston Police report a woman was indecently assaulted around 2:30 a.m. at Garden Court and Fleet Street.

According to police, the woman told officers:

She was approached by a suspect, who engaged her in conversation seeking to gain entry into her residence. The victim refused at which point the suspect indecently assaulted her and then fled toward North Street.

Police described the suspect as a white Hispanic male, about 5'6" and 150 lbs, with gelled black hair and wearing a blue pinstriped shirt and brown khaki pants.

The North End has seen a number of attacks on women in recent years that share similar characteristics: A woman out late at night is approached by a man who attempts to engage her in conversation before jumping her. However, police said they are not yet sure if this morning's attack is related to the past incidents.

. . . for a long time. A decade I'd say. Are all sexual assaults in the North End attributed to this one alleged serial assaulter or has this been a few different suspects?
