I can't speak on this issue
I can't speak on this issue specifically but this exact situation happened to my neighbor when I lived in Allston 3 years ago (they tying up sexual assault part). My roommate and I were the first ones they came to. The one thing we all took from this was never buzz someone in you don't know or who won't respond, make sure you scummy Allston landlord actually keeps your building locked (if you live on Comm. Ave. you might want to check) and have a peephole on your door. It all sounds simple but all three where not in place when it happened to my friend.
baseball bats
If the perp was waiting then there's little she could do but I'm a fat of keeping a baseball bat under the bed.
It can cause some serious damage and I'm more likely to use one quickly rather than finding a gun, unlocking it, loading it and making sure the perp is not your friend suprising you.
It would be nice if
It would be nice if Massachusetts allowed for storage of guns where you don't have to keep them locked. What good is a gun if you can't get to it quickly in order to remove the threat?
Also, where were the cops? We keep hearing that we should always call the police and not try to help keep ourselves safe and secure... so why did this girl get assaulted?
Maybe if Massachusetts wasn't so full of socialism this girl could have protected herself.
Remember folks, "When seconds matter, the police are only minutes away!"
misdeamenor
for improper storage of a firearm (not large capacity). That tells me if you to leave a handgun on your table in your own home, the state isn't going to take it that serious if you get caught.
they sure don't rape in texas
Based on the evidence that liberal gun laws eliminate rapes.
