A group of Midwestern pig farmers and the pork producer they sell to yesterday asked a federal judge in Boston to keep Massachusetts from enforcing a humane-treatment law passed by voters in 2016, saying the law violates their constitutional rights and would mean ruinously high prices and spot shortages not just for Massachusetts bacon lovers but pork consumers across the country. The Boston Licensing Board today approved plans for a new Tex-Mex casual restaurant at 500 Boylston St., better known to TV viewers as the location of Denny Crain's office in "Boston Legal." Read more.

The Boston Licensing Board today gave Stubbys, which focuses on sandwiches and wraps at 43 Northern Ave., permission to extend its closing time from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. At a hearing yesterday, nobody voiced opposition.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports that Beard Papa's, which once had outlets in Chinatown, Allston and the Back Bay, is returning to the city to see if we are finally worthy of a chain that sells just cream puffs, albeit customizable cream puffs (you pick your shell, then the filling). It'll be opening up on Newbury Street, next to another import: Shake Shack.

The Boston Ale House has painted over the part of its Hastings Street mural that long honored racist City Councilor Dapper O'Neil and his former employer James Michael Curley for a painting of Thomas Gunning Kelley, a longtime West Roxbury resident honored for his bravery in the Vietnam War. Milk Street Cafe, on its eponymous street downtown, next week starts a kosher-food delivery service. KoshBurger will serve up kosher burgers (both original meat and Impossible burgers), fries, various chickeny things and dairy-free shakes, 5 to 9 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, with delivery by your preferred delivery service to "the Boston area and surrounding towns."

Kelly's at Logn Airport proclaims itself as being from Boston's Revere Beach

Robert Alvarez was a bit perplexed by this wall at the Kelly's in Terminal B at Logan: "Congratulations to Revere on being annexed by Boston?"

Or maybe they're making a statement, that East Boston is really Boston's Revere Beach? But if so, maybe Sullivan's could start advertising itself as being from Revere's Castle Island?

Zuzu's Petals, or somebody who really likes the wine bar on Hampshire Street in Inman Square, has been busy putting up fliers around the area in search of "lost" items - hats, vases and a single clog last worn there. Then, roving UHub photographer Andrea Gray reports, Lehrhaus, the new kosher tavern on Washington Street in Somerville, put up a flier for Israeli writer S.Y. Agnon's "A Book that Was Lost." Boston Restaurant Talk reports Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment plans to open a coffeehouse called Central Perk, as in the place where the Friends used to hang out, on Newbury Street. Maybe the cardboard cutouts of Chandler and Phoebe we assume they'll have could throw down with the cardboard cutouts of Norm and Cliff from Cheers in a battle of sitcom dominance.
