A Suffolk Superior Court judge today sentenced Erroll Foreman, 51, to life in prison following his conviction on three counts of aggravated rape of a child and single counts of assault and battery and witness intimidation, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

Residents can get info and comment on Boston Police's plan to outfit up to 100 officers with body cameras in May at meetings tonight and Thursday, organized by the City Council's Committee on Public Safety and Criminal Justice.

Tonight's session starts at 6 p.m. in the Charlestown High School cafeteria, 240 Medford Street. Thursday's also starts at 6, at the First Parish Church of Dorchester, 10 Parish St.

Boston Fire, Boston Police and Coast Guard crews all responded to the Dorchester Yacht Club off Savin Hill today on a report of a possible oil spill.

But then they realized the stuff was actually pollen, probably washed down from I-93. A yacht-club worker said the pollen spills have happened before.

Police arrested a pair for an armed home invasion on Trescott Street not long after the two used their victim's ATM card to withdraw $200 from a nearby bank machine yesterday, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Quaknesha Garvin-Johnson, 22, and a 17-year-old, not named because of his age, were both ordered held in lieu of $100,000 bail at their arraignments in Dorchester Municipal Court this morning, the DA's office reports, adding it had only requested $50,000 bail for Garvin-Johnson. Read more.

Possible good news for fans of old trolleys: The Dorchester Reporter reports MassDOT has included $9 million in a five-year capital plan for rehabbing the Mattapan High-Speed Line's PCC trolleys, rather than replacing them with buses or something.

Stockton Street fire

Firefighters responded around 3:55 p.m. to 21 Stockton St. for what turned out to be a two-alarm fire - which broke out around the same time as another two-alarm fire in South Boston.

The Red Cross was brought in to help the 6 to 10 people the Boston Fire Department reports were displaced. There were no injuries.

Ian Jaffier is running to raise money for the West End House in Allston, where he and his sister Dawnn basically grew up. Dawnn Jaffier was shot to death in 2014 in a gun battle she had nothing to do with. Her brother, who still works part-time at the West End House, writes:

Each mile of the marathon represent a year in her life: 26 miles for 26 years. I am excited and know that with all your help, I will be able to achieve anything.

A man so familiar with the local cops he called out to one by name this morning was arrested after he refused to get out of the car he was in, possibly because he had a loaded gun in his jacket, Boston Police report.

One of the rear porches at 54 Sudan St. partially collapsed around 12:45 p.m. Nobody was seriously injured; ISD was summoned to take a look.
