Working on Bowdoin Street on Beacon Hill

Bowdoin Street on Beacon Hill remains shut tonight as workers try to repair the damage done by yesterday's water main break.

In addition to the burst main, workers also have to repair a road that buckled under the force of raging mini-torrent that rushed down to Cambridge Street.

Hannah diCicco took a photo of the repair work. Cherie L. King was on scene as well:

The Lawn Chair Incident

Per the mayor's office. And you know what that means: 48 hours of space-saving frenzy (and then it all stops, right?).

Ed. note: Video NSFchairs at the end.

Unshoveled space

Rory Nolan doesn't have a car, so doesn't need a parking space. Shortly after 5 p.m., he reported he cleared three spaces in the street:

Seeing how long it takes some1 to take or mark it. Let's go.

Around 7:30, he reported:

Going on 3 hours and it's still open. Difference between Allston and Southie.

In fact, a few minutes later, he updated:

"Usually, I'm more than happy to see Sam Adams," Tiffani Faison, who took the photo, commented.

Car on pedestrian bridge

Conrad Crawford posts a photo of a New Yorker who somehow managed to get his stupid car on the Northbank Bridge - that swoopy bridge between Cambridge and Charlestown that's supposed to be for pedestrians and bicyclists - last night.

He reports the boulder at the beginning of the bridge had been moved for some reason. He adds that for some reason, the guy refused to wait around for State Police to arrive.

Ed. note: Bet the guy blames his GPS.
