I grew up in Nashua, and we used "-shit" as a suffix to mean crazy. There's all kinds of "-shit" adjectives... Horseshit means pathaological lier, Batshit means hyper or spastic, apeshit means frothing at the mouth mad. It is not uncommon to hear "If that batshit punk keeps spewing horseshit I'm gonna go apeshit" (translation: if that jumpy character keeps lying, I'm gonna get real mad)

In Texas we say bullshit if something is a bold-faced lie..."The Lord of the Rings was the shortest film I've ever seen.""Bull Shit!"Never heard the Bostonian sense.

Isn't the way Christina used Bullshit what the word accually means? I mean, isn't that used by any english speaker. I use the boston way too and thought it was used everywhere but the other meaning definatley is used everywhere, right?

I use apeshit all the time! My grandmother, who grew up in the projects in Southie and lived most of her life in Belmont, would be bullshit if something pissed her off; apeshit if she reacted to it in public.God, I love those terms. I live in New York now, and no one knows what the hell I'm talking about. They also don't know what 'elastics' are. Dumbasses.

I grew up in Worcester and say "bullshit" as an adjective on a daily basis, but my boyfriend who grew up near Springfield had never heard it before.

I too live in New York now, and get odd looks whenever I say I was bullshit about something. I have a friend down here who she says she never heard such usage before, and she "claims" to be originally from Cambridge! Clearly she was always a New Yorker, even before she moved here.

Using 'bullshit' to imply 'pissed-off' makes perfect sense to me! I grew up 10 miles south of Boston in the 70's and we always said that. What wasn't widely understood (after living in other areas of the country) was calling someone a 'hot shit', meaning they were really funny (as in humerous)... "That guy cracks me up, he is a hot shit!"

a few others are "you gutta be shittin' me" "Meffa" is Medford to some,"Scum Bag" term for a real loser, "Screw" is a term for get the hell outta here" A beast is a real ugly girl (I did not make that up-sorry) an "ARSE" is someone who's making a donkey out of themselves. and many pronounce bullshit like this, "BOOSHIT"

I've always interpreted the term "Hot Shit" as a description of someone who's quite arrogant.

I had a classmate in undergrad school, who was an attractive-looking redhead, and yet, quite arrogant much of the time. I once overheard one guy describe my classmate by saying "That redhead's a hot shit". That defined the meaning of that particular term for me.

Bullshit and ripshit. For sure.
Also, kudos to the apeshit and batshit mentions.
