I laughed out loud when I saw this on here. a whole buncha my friends are from Nonantum so I hear this word every day of my life.

I'm from the North East of England (the real one, next door to France in Europeland)

The local slang has "divvie" for an idiot as in "Thy bairnz a reet divvie" - "Your child is somewhat educationally challenged"
