Anywhere she wants.

Alison Farquhar recounts an incident on a Red Line shuttle out of Broadway this afternoon:

Belligerent old Polish lady INSISTED the JFK/Andrew shuttle should drop her off at Old Harbor... so it did.

It would be one thing if she accidentally got on the wrong bus and it was too late, but she was stalwart.

Before it even left Broadway: "Ma'am you need to get on the #9 or 11." "No! No!"

Jaffar

Transit Police report arresting a Dorchester man on charges he got right behind a woman in a skirt on an escalator going up at the Downtown Crossing T stop, pointed his phone under her skirt and began videoing.

Police say they know this because another woman, behind Anwar Jaffar, 33, watched the whole thing around 9:10 a.m. yesterday and promptly reported the incident to them.

Transit Police chalked up another victory for their "See Something, Say Something" campaign yesterday when an alert rider alerted them to a busker at Harvard who urinated in a cup, dumped the contents onto the tracks, then went right back to playing his music and soliciting donations.

State Police, with assistance from their Boston counterparts, are investigating how a man got shot tonight in a car on Old Colony Avenue near the footbridge to Moakley Park. The victim got himself to Boston Medical Center around 9:30 p.m.- where not long after, security guards found a car parked outside with bullet holes.

This was about an hour after another man was stabbed outside the JFK/UMass T stop.

Transit Police report arresting a man they say snatched a Red Line rider's phone at Andrew station last night, evaded the victim in a foot chase, but then proved no match for officers in cruisers.

Police say Daniel Smith, 26, of South Boston, was arrested at Gavin and Logan ways, a few blocks away from the station, after officers looking for him spotted him and had the victim ID him. Smith is scheduled for arraignment in South Boston District Court today on a charge of unarmed robbery.

Innocent, etc.

Screaming Jesus Guy on the Red Line

John Stephen Dwyer encountered Screaming Jesus Guy on the Red Line today and he was in full-throttle mode (click to hear).

As Dwyer reports:

He's aggressive, loud, and just comprehensible enough to make it clear he's berating crowd with homophobia.

Crowded Davis Square Red Line stop

Around 7:50 a.m., a Red Line train ascended in Elijah's whirlwind at Alewife. That was about an hour after train 804 from Providence breathed it last, leaving commuters just hanging around Mansfield until the 806 could get to them, as Joe shows:

Dabrikas

Transit Police report officers arrested a homeless Boston man at the Harvard Square T stop around 8 p.m. yesterday after pulling him away from the teen, whom they say he was indecently assaulting.

The victim, an 18 year old autistic male, was not a willing participant and attempted to pull away from [the man].

Thomas Dabrikas, 60, was convicted of rape and abuse of a child and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 in 1989.

He is scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Cambridge District Court.

Reserved seating on the Red Line

How much would you pay for a guaranteed seat on the way to and from work each day? Roving UHub photographer Kate got on the Red Line at Central Square this afternoon and was surprised to see a couple of empty seats with these little notes on them. Test run by the T or a joker running loose?

Nothing like a dead train inbound at Davis to make for a fun morning commute.

A Dorchester man who allegedly tried but failed to rob a woman at knifepoint at Downtown Crossing last month was arrested last week after detectives managed to track him down as a regular at a Dorchester Star Market, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Roger Hines, 29, was arraigned Friday on a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, the DA's office says. Judge Eleanor Sinnott agreed with a request from prosecutors for bail of $15,000.

Transit Police report two people were stabbed around 12:45 p.m. on the Ashmont platform at Shawmut, in an incident that might have started as a dispute on an Orange Line train.

Police report neither victim stuck around for police or EMTs. One was found on Leslie Street, several blocks east of Dorchester Avenue; the other on Dorchester Avenue near Welles Avenue, also several blocks from the station.

Both victims are expected to survive, police say.

Just as rush hour was getting underway around 4:45 p.m., Alewife service on the Red Line was halted just in case the guy who held up the Eastern Bank branch in Central Square boarded a train. He apparently didn't, and service resumed, but not before creating all those residual delays.

The afternoon T woe report: A Red Line train somewhere north of Charles/MGH is stuck with doors that won't close and switch problems on commuter rail just outside South Station are doing wonders for Tavern in the Square.

Let's see: There's a dead Red Line train at Park Street, a dead trolley somewhere on the inbound side of the D line and there are major delays for some no doubt good reason on the Fitchburg Line.

Cardolino and dog

Christopher Cardalino of Somerville, police say, abandoned his faithful dog when officers came after him for piggybacking through a Park Street fare gate Thursday evening.

Upon approach of the officers Cardalino became nervous and when asked for some form of identification Cardalino dropped the leash for his dog and took off running. The dog, possibly abandoned and appearing confused, also ran in the direction of Cardalino. Officers caught up to Cardalino as he was fleeing through the exit gates on the Winter Street side and wrestled him to the ground.
