The Supreme Judicial Court today overturned a Dorchester man's convictions for open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior at the Hynes Green Line stop in October, 2010 because prosecutors didn't present any witnesses to testify they were "shocked" or "alarmed" at the way he openly displayed his genitals, as required by Massachusetts public-decency laws. Tries to beat signal, then stops - fouling tracks. At least they had the sense (and the room) to back clear. BTW - pavement was wet but clear.

Maybe it's the one that flew into the station yesterday?

An exhausted outbound Fairmount Line bought the farm just before Fairmount station and now the T says there are delays of 30 to 40 minutes, which is roughly twice as long as it would take the average adult to just get out and walk from Fairmount to the end of the line at Readville (yes, of course, unlike every other line, the Fairmount Line is not named for the last stop).

What a strange tern of events: A hawk flew into Back Bay station this morning. Transit Police are keeping an eagle eye on it until the Animal Rescue League can come and get it out. On last report, it was perching on one of the wooden rafters at the top of the station; hopefully, it won't be overcome by diesel fumes.

Here are all of Universal Hub's rhyming T-delay headlines for 2016. These represent only the finest, choicest, most awful of delays - regular riders will know their commutes slow a lot more than what's listed here (plus, I didn't use rhymes for delays caused by things such as people getting hit by trains, and I admit I was somewhat remiss in my coverage of commuter-rail delays, as any Fitchburg Line rider could tell you). Some of these rhymes are really bad; in the year to come, will try to make them hum.
