40 Fisher Ave. proposal on Mission Hill

Savage Properties has formally proposed a 15-unit building to replace the foundations for two three-family buildings that were never built at 40 Fisher Ave. on Mission Hill.

The proposed building would have two one-bedroom units, six two-bedroom units and seven three-bedrooms. One of the smaller units and one of the three-bedroom units would be marketed as affordable. The developer is proposing ten parking spaces in a garage and a fitness room, and hopes to begin construction this fall.

Turkey in Brighton

Capt. Nemo spotted a turkey strolling around the Academy Hill area in Brighton today, and wondered what it was doing there, instead of terrorizing people in Brookline.

Proposed 70 Parker Hill Ave. on Mission Hill

A developer is seeking BRA permission to recast a disused New England Baptist Hospital building at 70 Parker Hill Ave. as a 46-unit residential building.

In a filing with the BRA, developer George Wattendorf is also proposing 29 parking spaces for the units, which would run the gamut from studios to two-bedroom units. His application states:

Boston Restaurant Talk reports the bar on Tremont Street, Mission Hill, has ceased to be.

Terrace Street is shut at Tremont as police investigate gunfire on Terrace near Alleghany around 2:45 p.m.

Police are looking for a newer model, steel-blue Tundra pickup. The driver of that pickup may have been firing a gun as he drove - and possibly got off more than a dozen rounds.

Not long after, somebody showed up at Boston Medical Center with gunshot wounds.

Boston Police report a man was arrested Monday for three armed robberies on Calumet Street - based in part on the GPS device he was wearing as a condition of his probation on a South End rape and armed robbery conviction in 2007.

Stanley Stacos reports police are looking for two shotgun-toting robbers for a holdup around 1:45 p.m. at Mission Main near the intersection of Huntington and South Huntington avenues.

One suspect was described as black with a gray scarf around his face and a short black jacket, the other as Hispanic, also with a short black jacket. Both were short.

Stanley Staco reports a man was shot repeatedly in the face and neck around 1:45 a.m. outside 19 Fenwood Rd., just down the street from where Dr. Michael Davidson was shot to death on Tuesday.

The homicide unit was summoned because of the severity of the victim's injuries. Police are looking for three guys in a newer Toyota who dropped the man off at the Brigham and Women's emergency room, then fled.

The Globe reports New England Baptist has started planning to decamp from its longtime perch atop Mission Hill, as a cheaper option to fixing up all the old buildings there - in part because of all the money it'd make by selling the land.

Three people were held up in three separate armed robberies in less than an hour tonight on Mission Hill.

Around 9:45 p.m., somebody was held up at gunpoint on Alleghany Street by a black male, 6' and slim, wearing dark clothing and a Bruins hat.

About 15 minutes later, somebody was held up at gunpoint at Hillside and Eldora by a white male, 19-20, wearing a hoodie and a gray backpack. He ran down Wait towards Huntington.

Around 10:20 p.m., somebody else was robbed at Fisher and Bucknam, by a Hispanic male, 5'11" or 6' and wearing a navy-blue hoodie.
