A Roxbury man faces a variety of charges for an alleged attempt at robbing somebody in an ATM - somebody who happened to have a box cutter with which to defend himself.
According to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, when police found Torin Traynor, 27, of Roxbury, on Calumet Street around 11 p.m. on March 21, he was bleeding from multiple cuts - and told them he'd just been robbed at a Citizens Bank ATM a couple blocks away on Tremont Street. EMTs were summoned to transport him to nearby Brigham and Women's Hospital.
But then, the DA's office says, police found another man, also in bad shape, at the nearby TGI Friday's, where he'd gone to seek help.
In response to a citizen complaint about a McLaughlin Playground baseball field on Mission Hill being locked up all the time except for when the local Little League is using it, the city says:
The little league field and the batting cage is locked because ... of some dog owners who allow their dogs to run wild and not picking up after their dogs.
