Brookliners are a trusting sort

In recent weeks, Brookline Police have reported a steady stream of people having their GPSes and PDAs stolen from their often unlocked cars. The latest - and most extreme - was Friday afternoon on Boylston Street:

Victim reported that several items were taken from her unlocked vehicle while it was left unattended for about half an hour. Among the items taken were a cell phone, Ipod, laptop computer, and various business items including checks. ...

What? No luggage with $100,000 worth of jewelery in it?
