Mattapan's hell house

The Dorchester Reporter recently detailed a massive brawl on Morton Street involving "bats, knives, clubs and a pit bull" that left four injured. The paper linked the fight to 28 Sanford St., an address where, apparently, several troublemakers live, and which might also have some connection to the June 5 murder of Michael Hansbury of Mattapan.

On Boston Crime, Lissa Harris asks why the Morton Street brawl never made it to BPDNews:

Why hasn't anybody been arrested for Michael Hansbury's death three months ago?

Why are these guys still living in that house, when their landlord, the BHA, the neighbors, the cops, Inspectional Services, Animal Control, possibly DYS and the goddamned City Council president are after them? What the hell do you have to do to get evicted in this town? ...

...it's Mattapan's Hell House, not Dorchester's. But same diff.

I was at the Lower Mills community meeting two months ago, at which cops were saying that people from that house had sicced (sp?) their pit bulls on officers who were nosing around after Hansbury's death. Why there was still a dog over there in September, I cannot fathom.

Meanwhile, cops standing around watching guys paint lines on the road over by Dunkin' Donuts in downtown Lower Mills, five fecking blocks away, wouldn't budge from their detail to help you out if you were Jesus Christ. You got a problem, you gotta go alllllll the way down to the station. Which is on Blue Hill Ave. Down which blood is wont to run. Genius.

I would like to give thanks to the Boston P.D. in working to arrest the 15 year old thug that killed my cousin, Mikey Hansbury. I wish the other five authorities would follow suit.

Rest in Peace Mikey.

Rot in hell Sanford Street thugs.

Thank God, the police have finally made an arrest...after so many mnth of promises to the neighborhood at the civic assoc. meetings. It is my understanding that the tennants at 28 Sanford have finally been removed....finally we can return to taking our children and dogs for walks...and just simply going back to the type of neighborhood that area was for the 30 years I knew it before they moved in.

I hope this arrest, and hopefull conviction offers the Hansbury family, and Michael some peace, FINALLY!!
