Alleged out-of-town carjacker busted in Kenmore Square; alleged out-of-town perv arrested in Roslindale

Boston Police report that an EMT sprang into action around 12:30 a.m. Monday, when he spotted some guy allegedly pushing a woman passenger out of a car while her companion stopped at a Comm. Ave. store:

At that time he activated his emergency lights on the ambulance and approached the suspect telling the suspect to sit on the curb and stay there. The suspect sat on the curb for a short time and then started to run up Brookline Avenue.

Police caught up with Daniel Murphy, 30, of Paxton near Fenway Park, arresting him on charges of carjacking and assault and battery.

Meanwhile, down on Fawndale Road in Roslindale, police arrested a 28-year-old Texan who'd allegedly come all the way up here to meet with a 13-year-old girl - with whom he'd been chatting online and on the phone since August:

On Saturday the suspect departed Texas and was texting the victim during the entire trip to Boston. The victim met the suspect and brought him back to her house.

Where her mother called police - after finding out he was 28 and not 17 as he had initially told her. BPD did not report on any followup discussions between mother and daughter.

Finally from the mayhem report: Police charge that local guy Harlo Nixon, 25, walked up to somebody at Kneeland and Utica around 6 p.m. yesterday and, without any particular reason, started stabbing him in the stomach and back. The victim is expected to survive.

Way to go, vigilant mom! Caught him with the old you ought to call your mother trick.

The victim’s mother was worried that a 17-year-old wouldn’t be able to get back home and asked him to call his mother...

The part I don't get...if he had been 17 as he was claiming, did Mom think it would have been all right for him to go on a cross-country booty call after her 13-year old.

The magic number is 16 here, so it would have been just as illegal.

The Suffolk County DA's office reports he is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail - and that he has prior convictions in Texas for aggravated sexual assault on a child and possession of child pornography. Also, he got to the girl's house by the T from South Station.

ok....... yes I am posting as annonymous for a reason..... that is I AM THE MOTHER! NO mom did not think it was ok for a booty call... I haven't the foggiest of an idea where you got that, or what facts you twisted to think that! Second.... Boston Police were being called regardless! THIRDLY....... he is not being held in lieu of 250K cash bail.. he is in MCI Bridgewater for a 30 day psych eval.....

the posting by my sister about the case and assanine comments is oh so to the point.

My daughter did NOT I repeat DID NOT meet him at south station....
he found his way out here all by himself

and mom gave this sick ***hole the choice of waiting for BPD or a baody bag!

Perhaps you should keep your fingers off the keyboard until you know all the facts.

Go ahead, keep jumping to conclusions, it only makes you look like the uneducated person you truly are. I am apalled that you would even remotely think a parent would say the booty call was ok....APALLED!
