Watching the faces of young Red Sox fans, loyally hanging in until 1:30 only to be treated to the comedic stylings of Gagne, was like seeing the family dog attack and devour a group of cute baby rabbits.

He's outraged at the Globe

Then again, he IS the Outraged Liberal. In any case, he explains why he's not happy that the Globe held up delivery of papers today so it could get in the results of today's game - by 10:30, he still didn't have a paper (me? I went out around 10:30 and there was a Globe with the depressing headline right on our front porch).

Devil's Slurpee

When we got up this mid-morning, my husband described it as a Devil's Slurpee Game - tied at 6 to 6 in the 6th inning, and scored 7 in the 11th.
