Gourdgeous day at the end of an era

We haven't been keeping up with our Concord news, so we were shocked yesterday when we made our annual trek to Arena Farms to learn the place was closing forever on Oct. 31:

We've been going there for years (often on the way to or from apple picking in Stow). Getting Halloween pumpkins just won't the be same anymore. And, yes, everything there really is for sale, even the little wagons you use to cart around your pumpkins ($60 for the more modern green plastic ones; $20 for the older Radio Flyers; and $600 for the giant pumpkin coach).

OK, this isn't the worst thing to happen ever, but I hate it just the same.

I love Arena Farms and I go there every year...at least I used to now.
