We have a winna!

Jenny reads out a winner

A whole boatload of Boston bloggers gathered tonight at the Pour House for the second annual Blogtoberfest - the joint's basement was wall-to-wall bloggers. Jenny Frazier (of All Eyes on Jenny) did a great job organizing it all; she even got sponsors, who put up food and prizes (Jenny's calling out a winner above; our own Ron Newman actually won the very first prize of the evening, a $25 gift certificate to, I think, Starbucks).

It was great to get out of the cave and actually meet some of the people whose blogs I've been reading and linking to all this time (plus, it's the first time I've ever had somebody in a bar tell me "There's several women over there who have been waiting to meet you").

:) That's funny. But it was awesome meeting you...we all were wondering who the person is who sends traffic our way when we muse about Boston. :)

And men are scum. Just saying. Wait, you said that, not me.

I didn't get to meet you because I was struck down with an unfortunate stomach bug. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't quite pull myself together in time. Probably better that way.

It was great meeting you last night Adam! You need to check out my blog today to see what happened to me when I left the pour house last night... Let's just say I got a bit more than I bargained for at Abe & Louie's! Enjoy!

Ha! I didn't get to meet you - I arrived late and it was crowded, but it was nice to see the face behind Universal Hub. Next time!

Adam,

It was awesome meeting you last night. There are a lot of firsts in life and you were the first person who ever linked to my blog! Great to finally meet you.

Catch you at the next event :)

Sarah shows you what you missed.

Fabulously Out There chimes in.

Eileen as well.

Jesse Legg worked the room.

Wade Roush was there:

Judging from the variety of volume of conversations I overheard or engaged in, the Boston area is home to a healthy population of smart, young, funny, enthusiastic bloggers.

And among the people he met was Jonathan Feeley.

Jenny Frazier, natch, posts photos and notes.
